User research
UOC ->
We started by interviewing 6 users, which helped us grasp a deeper understanding of how they are managing their health and staying fit through technology. These interviews provided invaluable insights and illuminated various approaches towards utilizing technology for wellness. Furthermore, we conducted desk research and a survey to gather additional data and insights in this area
Starting new health routines can be challenging; users express the need for external motivation to kickstart their efforts.
Users recognize the pivotal role of mental well-being in their overall health journey, emphasizing the importance of self-care for both internal and external wellness.
Many users rely on social media platforms as their primary source of inspiration and information for discovering innovative diet strategies and fitness tips.
Users find notifications, ratings, and rewards to be significant features in these applications, serving to maintain a certain level of user engagement.
Applications such as Peloton, Headspace, and Lose It offer articles, courses, and a variety of information to help users understand or enhance their technical knowledge about nutrition, sports, etc.
With each passing day, more applications are focused on aggregating data collected by external technology, which measures our steps, physical activity, or sleep patterns.
To condense the insights from our research, we employed three frameworks to distill our findings and visualize user opportunities. The first of these is a user persona, through which we were able to identify three types of users, each with distinct needs and scenarios.
"My job requires me to stand for extended periods, which exhausts me psychologically. Staying active and taking care of myself brings out the best in me."
"Prioritizing a balanced diet and taking care of my nutrition is crucial"

Once we've comprehensively understood and broken down all the personas and scenarios, we'll create a journey for each one to grasp the pains and opportunities linked to the various contexts and actions. This will help visualize and narrow down our problem space.
To wrap up and to bridge our learnings with our users towards a final solution, we connect these with a framework that allows us to visualize our main product goal.
